• In Kenya, there is no health insurance that covers all the costs of doctor visits. So, in the event of illness, a fee must be paid first to be examined by a doctor. The costs vary depending on the examination required. With your donation, for example, a child suffering from malaria can be treated.
  • Your donation will enable the book bus in Kenya to acquire a new book. Especially schoolbooks are needed and borrowed by the children, but there is also a selection of non-fiction and novels available.
  • Water is the source of life. With your donation, you cover the water costs of the library, so that all children there can drink water and wash their hands.
  • With a set of sanitary pads, you directly support a girl in continuing to attend school. Many girls cannot afford hygiene products and have to stay home during their periods. As a result, they miss out on lessons and exams, and often end up being completely withdrawn from school by their parents.
  • Students in Kenya also need a basic supply of notebooks and pencils every school year, and in higher grades, they also require a geometry set. With your donation, a needy child in Kenya will receive this material from us.
  • In Kenya, attending school requires a school uniform. For some families, this poses a huge financial challenge and can even prevent their children from attending school altogether. With your donation, we can purchase a school uniform, including shoes and a sweater, for a needy child.
  • With your donation, we can cover the expenses for one day of a street worker. The street work is connected to our "Education Mobile" and provides advice to students even in remote areas in and around Mombasa.
  • We want to support children and young adults in taking control of their lives and also standing financially on their own feet. Therefore, we also support young adults. We finance vocational training or studies for them so that they have good job prospects afterwards, thereby breaking the cycle of poverty.
  • The Kenyan education system is divided into 8 years of primary school and 4 years of secondary school. However, attending secondary school incurs school fees. Thanks to your donation, we can enable a child to attend secondary school.
  • In our library in Mikindani, Mombasa, children can study, read, do homework, and borrow books in peace. Additionally, they can turn to our social worker for help with any problems they may have. Thanks to your donation, the rent for the library space is paid for another month.
